There was a conversation in July 2023 between the Pearl (Isobel Acquah) and Claire Afua Jørgensen. This conversation took place because Claire was about to embark on a journey to come to Ghana to see if she could contribute to creating a Long Term Safe House that make impact in Ghana for generations to come.

Backed by a few organizations, and people who were willing to support, the question Claire had was - whether to set up an organization herself / to collaborate with an existing one.

The conversation with Isobel was a good one so we ended up with an agreement to collaborate. The Botianor house was to be used for this - with small adjustments.

The decision was for Claire to come and get the Safe house going - as in start operations. Get women and girls in, take care of them and run the organization locally as well to understand how to get funds from potential sponsors who had shown interest ahead of her coming. This was to be the phase that will be called - Proof of Concept.
